V-Dubs on Automobile Alley is a free, family-friendly block party hosted by the VW Club of Oklahoma City featuring more than 80 new and classic Volkswagens, live music and a pop-up park.

Live music on an outdoor stage by Brewer Entertainment will include Annie Oakley at 10 a.m. and Kyle Reid & the Low Swingin’ Chariots at noon. Steelwind will perform from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. inside Hideaway Pizza at 901 N. Broadway Ave.

There will be snow cones by Kona Ice, a pop-up park by Fowler Volkswagen of Norman where families can play games and build, decorate and fly their own Hideaway “Dermer Sled” kites, a Volkswagen photo booth, and the Junction Coffee bus.

Hideaway Pizza will host a Pente tournament from 10 a.m. to noon. The all-ages competition will be capped at 16 contestants, and the winner will receive a $600 “Year of Hideaway Pizza” gift card. Register prior to the event at www.hideawaypizza.com/PenteRules.

Event sponsors include: Brewer Entertainment, Fowler Volkswagen of Norman, Hideaway Pizza, Oklahoma Gazette, and The Spy FM.

Launched as part of Hideaway Pizza’s 60th Anniversary celebration, event organizers hope to continue as an annual event for the district.
