Hideaway Pizza television campaign wins at ADDYs

After 60 years in business, Oklahoma-based Hideaway Pizza began airing its first ever television commercials in May 2017. The “Seriously Great Pizza” campaign won Best of Show – Broadcast at the 2018 Oklahoma American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) held Feb. 24 at the Chevy Bricktown Events Center in Oklahoma City.  

 

The campaign included a series of five commercials, produced by Robot House Creative and directed by Digital DK, based on real social media posts by Hideaway Pizza fans. The commercials, shot inside Hideaway Pizza in Moore, took a tongue-in-cheek approach to highlighting the company’s dedication to high quality pizza.

 

“Hideaway Pizza is a fun brand that fans love,” said Robot House Creative Principal Partner Brian Winkeler. “So we built a campaign pairing fun, quirky customer reviews with a ‘serious’ voice, all while showcasing delicious footage of Hideaway’s seriously great pizza. And mushrooms!”

 

Robot House Creative garnered a total of 10 awards for its work on behalf of Hideaway Pizza, including five gold medals, two silver and two bronze.
